Biography[]
Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Chad left the prairie life and headed to Vancouver straight out of High School to pursue his acting career and make a name for himself in the Film and Television scene. Shortly after the move however, he was selected as a "New Face" Model and immediately landed various modelling campaigns for such brands as Jean Paul Gaultier, Escada, Gucci and Swiss Army. Although the modelling world continued to offer multiple opportunities for Chad to venture down, acting was what he really wanted to pursue and soon relocated back to Western Canada.
Still new to Vancouver, Chad entered the "Faces West" Model and Talent Convention where he was given the chance to showcase his talents to major film studio heads and fashion designers alike. After 3 days of competition, Chad had won awards for 7 of the 8 events including Dramatic Monologue, Comedic Sitcom, Commercial, Swimsuit, Runway, Cold Reading and Singing. Little did he know that this would lead him to his first lead role in the independent feature film, "Sleepover Nightmare”. Finally, Chad had entered into the world of acting.
Throughout the years, with on-going training and continued dedication, Chad has now built himself up quite the resume including multiple Television roles, including a Guest Star role opposite Amanda Tapping (“Stargate SG-1”) on the SYFY series "Sanctuary", multiple roles over three seasons on the hit series, "Supernatural" and a key role on the J.J. Abram's series, "Alcatraz". His other Television roles include “The Flash”, “Shattered”, “Played”, “John Doe”, “The Selection”, “Cult”, “iZombie”, “Motive”, “Home”, “Timeless”, “The Secret Circle”, “Bates Motel”, “Cedar Cove”, “A Midsummer’s Nightmare”, “Wisdom of the Crowd”, “Once Upon a Time”, “Colony” and a major role as the fisherman, Chris Mueller in the upcoming Mermaid Series, “Siren”.
Chad’s Film roles extend between both Major Studio and Independent Productions such Stephen King’s, “Dreamcatcher”, "The Wingman", "Brotherhood", "Killer Bash", "Replay", "Texas Road", "Pestilence", “Sleepover Nightmare”, “Devil, Devil, Devil”, “My Life as a Dead Girl”, “Garage Sale Mystery”, ‘Death Cab” and the Summer Blockbuster “War for the Planet of the Apes” where Chad starred opposite of Woody Harrelson (“Cheers”, “Natural Born Killers”) and Andy Serkis (“Lord of the Rings”, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) as the military soldier, “Boyle”.
Alongside his on-going acting career, Chad started his very own independent production company, CheckMate Films, where he has since written and directed various Music Videos and the independent short films, "She Walks at Night" and "The Doors". Chad has also just recently finished directing the Full Length Comedy Feature Film, “The Perfect Pickup” in which he also wrote and starred in. Chad is currently writing his next two Full Length Feature Films, “The Asylum” and “Walk the Walk” in which he plans on directing within the next year in Northern Canada.
2018 doesn’t seem to be slowing down for Chad as he is currently starring in four different Series, including “Once Upon a Time”, “Supernatural”, “Colony” and “Siren” and the upcoming Horror Film, "Extremity". Needless to say, the future is looking both very bright, and very busy for Chad.
