Bristol Cove is a fictional, coastal town located in Washington State. It was founded 150 years ago by Captain Charles H. Pownall. The town is known for its legend of once being home to merpeople since the 1800s. According to a marine chart shown in The Wolf at the Door the town is located at N 47.3922° W 124.3026°.

According to myths and legends, Bristol Cove was where mermaids have been known to gather for hundreds of years, notably for attacking passing ships and sailors. Stories made concerning mermaids in this mystical place strike terror in the heart of all sailors, even if it was just a brief mention of it. This caused these mythical creatures to be slaughtered by sailors.
